Anneli Maley re-signs with Eltham
Fresh off a first-place finish in the 3x3 FIBA Asia Cup, Anneli Maley is set to return to her hometown club for the 2023 NBL1 season.

Fresh off a first-place finish in the 3x3 FIBA Asia Cup, Anneli Maley is set to return to her hometown club for the 2023 NBL1 season.
Maley will play a handful of games before heading to the WNBA, where she is rostered as a training camp player with the Chicago Sky. If she doesn't stay in the WNBA, she will return to the NBL1 for the remainder of the season.

Maley said the club was an integral part of her journey to the 2022 FIBA Women's World Cup, where the Opals took the bronze medal. the dream of being an Opals was created as a junior player while playing domestically for Eltham.
“Like, that's where the dream is planted. You know, at some point in my life, I decided I wanted to be an Opal. And it was while I was playing for Eltham Wildcats as a bloody five-year-old,” she said.
