NBL1 Central champion Jada Rice will change conferences this season, heading to the NBL1 South’s Geelong United Supercats for the 2024 season.
In her first professional season, Rice became a critical piece to the Norwood Flames’ success. She averaged 8.6 points, 10.3 rebounds and two blocks per game for the championship side.

The two-way menace was able to control the glass and block shots all season, pulling down an absurd 21 rebounds against the Southern Tigers in June.
In the National Finals, Rice was just as impactful, putting up 11 points, six rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks against the Warwick Senators and followed that up with eight points, eight rebounds and two blocks against the Norths Bears.
The 6’4” center joins Geelong on a one-year deal, stating she’s excited to return to Australia.
“I’m super excited and grateful to get to be a part of the GUB family this season,” she told Geelong.
“I’m looking forward to meeting and getting to know everyone! I can’t wait to give my all and see how the upcoming season unfolds.”
Rice is currently playing in Greece for PAOK, averaging eight points and 8.9 rebounds per game.
The NBL1 South starts April 3rd, streaming live and free via NBL1.com.au or the NBL1 App.
