A barnstorming second half from the Ringwood Hawks has lifted them to an upset 78-73 victory over the Waverley Falcons on Wednesday night.

A barnstorming second half from the Ringwood Hawks has lifted them to an upset 78-73 victory over the Waverley Falcons on Wednesday night.
The second placed Falcons seemed to be cruising to victory when they led by 17-points late in the first half, before the Hawks turned things around.
Ringwood outscored Waverley 47-30 across the third and fourth terms, as they improved to 12-8 on the season.
Marena Whittle and Ella Ogier both scored clutch baskets in the final minute for the Hawks, while Ogier also had a key steal on the defensive end.

Whittle led the way with 24 points and 13 rebounds in the win, with Marta Hermida and Ariel Jones both adding 15 points.
Waverley’s leading scorer was Bec Cole with 18 points, and Carley Ernst almost had a triple-double with 11 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
Ringwood is back in action on Friday night against Geelong, with the Falcons facing Dandenong on Saturday.
