Davidson has had a storied college career. In 2019, Davidson broke the all-time NCAA record for most shots made in a row from the free throw line with 95, before going on and earning the Jostens Trophy Award for the Most Outstanding NCAA DIII Men’s Basketball Player in 2022.
He spoke on his journey from division three to the NBL1 during The NBL1 Show this week.
“I went to Wabash College, which is a division three school in the States. I ended up there, it was a high academic school and the coaches recruited me really hard,” he said.
So I mean, a lot of people have aspirations to play division one or division two. But my path was just a bit different. My game really developed while I was there, I was blessed with it with a really good coaching staff and really good teammates, and I was able to flourish in that system.
“So a different path for sure. I know a lot of a lot of people from division three, don't end up going pro. But I want to kind of change that narrative of guys from division three can't play at a high level. And I think there's some really, really good players that play at that level.
“And I really want to prove that.”
Watch Davidson and the Ballarat Miners this weekend on Saturday, from 7:30pm AEST via NBL1.com.au or the NBL1 App here.
