Lat Mayen signs with Bendigo

Cairns Taipans rookie Lat Mayen has signed with the NBL1 South Bendigo Braves for the 2023 NBL1 season.

After a breakout season in the NBL1 North with the Cairns Marlins, Lat Mayen was picked up by the Taipans and became an essential piece to their Finals run.

Mayen played 16 games for the Taipans this NBL season and during the three-game Playoff Series against the Sydney Kings, Mayen averaged 6.6 points and 24 minutes per game. 

Mayen was a star with the Marlins last season, averaging over 20 points per game and leading them to the Semi-Finals against USC Rip City.

The versatile 3-And-D wing now joins  Luke Rosendale, Isaac Turner and Isaac Murphy for the men’s Braves team for the 2023 NBL1 South season, starting on April 1.
