Over the past weekend, NBL1 South held its annual pre-season Blitz at Selkirk Stadium, hosted by Ballarat Basketball

The NBL1 South league extends its gratitude to Neville Ivey and the Ballarat Basketball team for graciously hosting the event at Selkirk Stadium. Special thanks are also due to Sport Integrity Australia and Basketball Australia for organizing mandatory sports integrity education sessions, to Ian Knight Photography for capturing media photos of all players and to our referees/scoretables teams who used the weekend to train, upskill and develop.

Blitz

NBL1 South League Manage Alison Cody, shared her thoughts on the event, stating.

"The NBL1 South Blitz was once again a resounding success. Ballarat Miners orchestrated an outstanding two-day event, culminating in a family Miners' fun day on Sunday. Off the courts, it was great to see players and coaches from different clubs coming together as a league and socialising with one another."

Despite some teams missing key signings, the event provided an invaluable opportunity for teams to engage in multiple practice games. Results from the games can be found below.
