Report: O’Neal’s NBL1 South interest

The son of NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, Shareef O’Neal, could be set for a stint in NBL1 according to Newscorp.

Newscorp has reported “representatives” for O’Neal have reached out to the Diamond Valley Eagles about potentially joining the club.

O’Neal last played for the NBA G-League Ignite after playing college basketball for powerhouses UCLA and LSU.

The 23-year-old averaged 5.2 points in 31 appearances for G-League Ignite during the 2022/23 season.

O’Neal's father, Shaquille, is a 4-time NBA champion, 3-time NBA Finals MVP, 15-time NBA All-Star, 8-Time All-NBA First Team member and won the 2000 NBA MVP.
