Sandringham has announced the return of Shea Ili to the Sabres for the NBL1 South 2024 season.
The New Zealand Tall Blacks (National Team) point guard was the NBL1 South 2022 Most Valuable Player, Defensive Player of the Year, and All-Star 5 member.
Ili was unable to compete in the NBL South 2023 season due to concussion precautions, which saw 2023 All-Star 5 member Ben Ayre join the Sabres' playing roster.
Currently starting for Melbourne United this season, Ili is averaging 10.4 points, 4.2 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game.
Shea Ili joins the NBL1 South Grand Finals runners-up in Sandringham, along with fellow Melbourne United members David Barlow (Head Coach), Tanner Krebs, Campbell Blogg, and Tom Koppens.
