The Nunawading Spectres have announced the return of Head Coaches Andrew Cutler and Paul Flynn for the upcoming 2024 NBL1 South Men's and Women's seasons, respectively.

The Nunawading Spectres have announced the return of Head Coaches Andrew Cutler and Paul Flynn for the upcoming 2024 NBL1 South Men's and Women's seasons, respectively.
Andrew Cutler, a former Nunawading Spectres Junior player with a long history at the club and recent triumphs with the Under 20s Victorian Men at the Australian National Championships, rejoins as the head coach for the Men's team.
Cutler expressed his gratitude for the opportunities provided by Nunawading and his eagerness for another season, stating,
“I’ve always been grateful for the opportunities Nunawading has given me, and this year is no exception. I’m excited to be back for another season and I know our group can’t wait for the season to start.”
Paul Flynn, another Nunawading Spectres alumni with an illustrious background in basketball, returns to lead the Women's team. With experience spanning from junior levels to the WNBL Championship Assistant Coach role with the Melbourne Boomers, Flynn is a revered figure in the Nunawading Basketball community. Following the conclusion of the 2024 NBL1 South season, Flynn will embark on a new coaching journey as the Head Coach for Mainland Pouakai in New Zealand's Tauihi league.
Flynn expressed his excitement for the upcoming season, highlighting the retention of a strong core and the addition of key talent in crucial positions. He said,
"I am excited to continue in this role. I take great pride in representing the Nunawading Spectres alongside our incredible athletes. We’ve retained a strong core and added some key talent in key positions. I’m looking forward to the challenge in front of us, as the NBL1 South looks to have gone to another level once more."
