NBL1 North champion and Melbourne United sharpshooter Tanner Krebs has signed with the NBL1 South’s Sandringham Sabres for the 2024 season.

Krebs was the co-star with Jason Cadee in the Rollers 2022 title run, averaging 23.2 points, 8.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists for the championship team.

Missing the second half of the last NBL1 season with an injury, the Rollers brought in Todd Blanchfield as a replacement and helped lead the Gold Coast Rollers to the Grand Final Series for the second season in a row.

Krebs now joins the NBL1 South Grand Finals runners-up in Sandringham, joining United teammates Campbell Blogg and Tom Koppens for the Sabres next season.

Krebs will fill the scoring hole left by Ben Ayre, who made the conference All-Star Five last season for Sandringham.

The NBL1 season starts on March 23, see the full fixture here.
