Froling delivered a massive performance on Sunday against the Sandringham Sabres and showcased her best basketball of the season to lead her squad to a win.
The 27-year-old’s efforts have been recognised across the league, as she currently sits at the top of the stat ladder for points per game. Froling averages 28.6 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.
“You talk about MVP discussion, Keely Froling is a player that is definitely going to be there. Currently and towards the end of the season,” Matt Hickey said on the latest episode of The NBL1 Show.
In the win over the Sabres, Froling delivered 39 points, 13 rebounds and an impressive seven steals.
“Seven steals as well, which some players don’t even get to seven steals over the whole season, let alone in one game,” Hickey said.
“Another fantastic performance from a fantastic player.”
Her average stat line across the two games was 30 points, 14.5 rebounds and 4 assists. Her Round 7 results scored her the Foot Locker Player of the Week award.
Froling and the Tornadoes sit at 14th place on the ladder.
