Australian Boomer signs with West Adelaide

Australian Boomer, NBL Champion and Adelaide 36ers captain Mitch McCarron is headed to the West Adelaide Bearcats for the 2023 NBL1 season. 

In his 13 games with the Northside Wizards, McCarron averaged 16 points, eight rebounds and seven assists - leading the Wizards to the NBL1 North Semi-Finals (which McCarron missed with national team commitments), where Northside lost to the eventual champions, the Gold Coast Rollers.

McCarron has continued his dominance in NBL23, beating the NBA’s Phoenix Suns in the NBLxNBA games and is currently leading the 36ers into the Play-In race with a record of 10-9 at the start of Round 14.

McCarron joins former Northside Wizards and current 36ers teammate Anthony Drmic on the Bearcats roster this coming season.
