Congratulations to NBL1 South referee Bianca Vernon, who will reach a major career milestone tonight, making her National Basketball League debut in the Adelaide 36ers vs Cairns Taipans clash.
The appointment is a reflection of Bianca’s sustained performance, commitment and dedication to officiating over many years across state and national competitions.
Bianca’s refereeing journey began at just 17 years of age and has progressed through some of Australia’s most demanding pathways.
She has firmly established herself at the national level in the Women's National Basketball League, first officiating in 2021 and going on to complete multiple seasons on the WNBL panel, alongside extensive experience across Basketball Australia National Junior Championships, Big V and NBL1 South.
Tonight’s NBL debut marks the next step in a career built over more than 15 years and stands as a significant achievement for both Vernon and the NBL1 South officiating pathway.
