The next chapter in Taran Armstrong and Kye Savage's basketball careers is about to be written, with the pair selected to pull on the green and gold for the Boomers.

The pair have been named in the 12-player squad that will take to the court on Thursday, February 22 against Korea in the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup qualifying game in Bendigo.

The duo will provide a glimpse of what is to come in the future, Boomers' head coach Brian Goorjian said.

"I'm looking forward to our game in Bendigo, I hear it's a full house so that's going to provide a great atmosphere," Goorjian said.

"There is a lot of interest in the young talent coming through and this will be a great opportunity for them to play alongside some of our most experienced players.

"It's always an honour to coach the Boomers but there is always something special about playing at home and I know the Bendigo fans are in for a special night of basketball."

It will be 18-year-old Savage's first time representing the country in a senior competition, and he is one of six debutants named in the squad.

Former Tasmania JackJumpers' lead assistant coach Jacob Chance has been named in the Boomers' coaching ranks.

The squad also includes Dejan Vasiljevic, Ben Henshall, Nicholas Kay, Isaac Humphries, Mitch McCarron, Jordan Hunter, Josh Bannan, Nick Marshall, Rocco Zikarsky, and Josh Dent.
