Eagles announce flurry of signings ahead of season opener

With only 10 days until East Perth's NBL1 West season commences, the Eagles have announced a flurry of signings to mark the occasion. 

Fiona Madden, Jarrad Anastasio, Joel Offereins, Tahlia Fejo and Nicholas Filpo have all put pen to paper ahead of East Perth's huge clash with the Joondalup Wolves. 

Madden, a 5'11 forward, featured in 11 games for the Eagles last season and averaged 3.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists. 

Anastasio is set to tower over his opponents, with his imposing 6'9 height set to wreak havoc in the key this season. 

Featuring in 13 games last year, the centre averaged 4.9 points and 4.5 rebounds from his 16.9 minutes, on average, on the court. 

Offereins will be facing off against his old team next Friday night, after crossing over from Joondalup to East Perth last year. 

He averaged an impressive seven points from his 10 Eagles appearances. 

Fejo will spend her first season at East Perth this year after crossing over from Cockburn. 

From 11 games with the Cougars last season, the 5'6 guard averaged 8.5 points. 

Filpo is coming off an impressive 2020 campaign for the Eagles, averaging 7.1 points from his 13 appearances.
