Meanwhile, Lou Brown dominated the boards and claimed the title of Leading Rebounder. His tenacity under the rim and determination on the court were instrumental in the team's success.
Reflecting on the night's triumphs, FDBA's Daniel Spangler expressed his pride in the club's accomplishments. "Last night was a wonderful celebration of the direction of our senior program," he remarked. "Taking home six medals is something our club should be incredibly proud of."
Acknowledging the team's on-court achievements, he stated, "Both of our teams demonstrated outstanding performances, with the Men finishing the regular season second on the ladder and the Women finishing fifth. Although it's disappointing we are not playing in a Grand Final, both teams should be incredibly pleased with their efforts. And we look forward to coming back stronger next year."
Off the court, the recognition of Wayne Holdsworth's leadership was a testament to his remarkable contributions. He extended his gratitude, saying, "Wayne's Executive of the Year Award recognizes our CEO as an incredible leader for our club and Association. I'd would also like to thank and acknowledge what he has done for me."
