Funda Nakkasoglu Re-Signs with Sandringham Sabres

Sandringham star guard Funda Nakkasoglu will return for the NBL1 South 2026 season, re-signing with the Sabres after another standout campaign in 2025.

A proven offensive threat, Nakkasoglu averaged 20.5 points and 2.5 assists per game last season, continuing to rank among the league’s most reliable perimeter scorers. Her ability to stretch defences from deep, connecting on more than two three pointers per outing, made her a constant headache for opposition guards.

Beyond the numbers, Nakkasoglu’s experience and leadership will once again anchor a Sabres lineup eager to push further in 2026.
