Quarter Finals: Southern Districts Spartans vs North Gold Coast Seahawks.

Streaming on Saturday, July 20 from 5:30pm AEST live and free via Kayo Freebies.

Joining a new team this season, Mikaela Ruef has been just as dominant with her new partner in crime Miela Goodchild.

Averaging 18 points, 20.7 rebounds and 6.8 assists – the WNBL champion has gone under the radar despite her ridiculous stats.

The Southern District Spartans have incredible depth on the perimeter to cause the conference’s leading scorer, Goodchild, trouble, but is Tall Fern Kalani Purcell enough to limit the second NBL1 North First Team member on this squad?

East Banner

Qualifying Final: Albury-Wodonga Bandits vs Bankstown Bruins.

Streaming on Saturday, July 20 from 7:30pm AEST live and free via Kayo Freebies.

Coming off a spectacular NBL campaign, Will Hickey is looking like an MVP favourite in the East. Averaging 22 points, 10.8 rebounds, 8.1 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.8 blocks per game, Hickey has made a significant impact in every major category for the Bandits.

His star power has led the Bandits to their first final in nine years, rewarding patient fans with their first home final in some time.

Qualifying Final: Keilor Thunder vs Dandenong Rangers.

Streaming on Saturday, July 20 from 7:30pm AEST live and free via Kayo Freebies.

Before she makes her way to the WNBA with the Atlanta Dream, basketball fans will get to see Nyadiew Puoch make another title run with her junior club, the Dandenong Rangers.

Averaging 19.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.8 streaks per game, she’ll be going up against a superteam in Keilor – featuring WNBL stars in Isabelle Bourne, Maddi Rocci and Pennina Davidson under head coach Kristi Harrower.

With a dynamic duo of Puoch and Dallas Loughridge, the Rangers secured third on the ladder and more importantly, a second chance if they fall to Keilor on Saturday.

With a trip to the Preliminary Finals on the line, make sure to tune in to watch the current and future stars of Australian basketball.

Qualifying Final: Central Districts Lions vs Forestville Eagles.

Streaming on Saturday, July 20 from 5:00pm ACST live and free via Kayo Freebies.

In one of the biggest single-season turnarounds in NBL1 history, the Lions have roared into the Finals after a 1-17 record last season.

They’ll be facing off against Forestville in the Qualifying Final, a team they beat in overtime just two weeks ago. While it’s easy to highlight Lilly Ritz’s game-high 28 points and 14 rebounds – the one to watch will be Jasmin Fejo

She had a quiet performance by her own standards against Forestville, with only six points and three assists in over 40 minutes. With a season average of 15.2 points and four assists, the Lions’ point guard will have to quickly regain her momentum if she wants to make a title run.

West Banner

Round 17: Warwick Senators vs Lakeside Lightning

Streaming on Friday, July 19. Women’s live from 6:30pm AWST | Men’s live from 8:30pm AWST

Sitting eighth on the NBL1 West ladder, First Team candidate Michael Harris will have to overcome the Lightning to make a strong push into finals.

Averaging 27.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 5.3 assists this season, Harris has been a superstar for the Senators – while throwing down a dunk-of-the-year contender along the way.

It may not be a do-or-die game, but Lakeside has been dangerous all season, giving Warwick the perfect opportunity to kickstart their race to the Grand Final.
