he Melbourne Tigers have announced the re-signing of forward Hannah Giddey for the NBL1 South 2026 season, continuing a proud family connection to the club.

A graduate of the Tigers junior pathway, Giddey has represented Melbourne across multiple levels, following in the footsteps of her parents, Warrick and Melissa Giddey, who both featured for the Tigers in the NBL and WNBL respectively.

Giddey joined the Tigers part way through theNBL1 South 2025 campaign, appearing in eight games and averaging 2.9 points and 1.9 rebounds, highlighted by a standout performance against Diamond Valley with 18 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists on 9-of-10 shooting. Her athleticism and defensive presence have made her a valuable contributor within Melbourne’s young core.

Before returning to Australia, Giddey completed her college career at Southern Nazarene University in the United States, where she averaged 14.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.0 blocks per game across three seasons.

Reflecting on her re-signing, Giddey said she’s thrilled to continue her journey with the Tigers.

“I’m super excited to be returning to my home club. I think we have a great bunch of girls, and I can’t wait to play with everyone and win games.”
