The NBL1 Central conference finals start this weekend! The NBL1 Central has five teams for both the women’s and men’s divisions, the first seed automatically moves to the semi-finals next week while the other four teams battle it out to make it to the semis.

The NBL1 Central has five teams for both the women’s and men’s divisions, the first seed automatically moves to the semi-finals next week while the other four teams battle it out to make it to the semis.

Elimination Final

Forestville Eagles v Norwood Flames at 6:15pm ACST on Kayo Freebies 

Samantha Simons vs Ally Wilson. What more needs to be said? The possible NBL1 Central MVP will take on the bronze medallist from the Commonwealth Games in a can’t miss match-up.

 

Qualifying Final 

South Adelaide Panthers v Sturt Sabres at 6:00pm ACST on NBL1.com.au or the NBL1 App 

The Panthers have been on a recent tear while the Sabres have consistently been one of the best teams in Central. Sturt will have a tough challenge to defend Ashleigh Spencer, the conference-leading scorer at 21 points per game.

Norwood Flames v North Adelaide Rockets at 7:45pm ACST on NBL1.com.au or the NBL1 App

In a classic four vs five match-up the Norwood Flames will host the Rockets in a crucial game to advance. The Flames have four players who averaged 15 points per game or more while the Rockets’ Terry Winn has been electric all season. 

 

Qualifying Final 

Forestville Eagles v South Adelaide Panthers at 8:00pm ACST on Kayo Freebies

This game will be a real treat, as Daniel Johnson’s Forestville Eagles take on the dynamic duo of Alexander Starling and Jeremy Smith. 

Forestville is one of the deepest squads in the conference, with four current or former NBL players, while the Panthers’ duo is athletic, fearless and ready to make a run at the conference title.
