Forestville fast start sets flying Eagles to second
A fast-flying start from the Forestville Eagles has flown them back up to second on the table as they toppled the Southern Tigers 73-89 at the Cage. Greg Mays rolled for a double double with 31 points and 10 rebounds and along with partner in crime Michael Harris (21 points and 8 rebounds) dismantled the in-form Tigers. Six Tigers registered double figures with Cameron Coleman accumulating another double double of 20 points and 8 rebounds.
Dowdell rings in second in a row for Rockets
Tobias Dowdell has propelled the North Adelaide Rockets to an important win over the Norwood Flames 71-89 at the Firedome. Dowdell rang in 28 points and 9 rebounds and was well supported by a big bounce back from Verle Williams with 23 points and 6 rebounds. CJ Turnage led the way for the Flames with 17 points and 6 rebounds while Cameron Huefner nearly grabbed a double double of 10 points and 9 rebounds.
South Sixers arrive and prevent scare from Lions
The South Adelaide Panthers have survived a late scare as they overcame the run of the Central District Lions at the Jungle 71-68. Lions David Humphries missed his last three attempt to tie the scores as the Panthers just held on. Adelaide 36ers Alex Mudronja (21 points) and Owen Hulland (32 points and 12 rebounds) impacted immediately to halt the run of the Lions led by Lual Diing with 26 points and 7 rebounds, Shaquille Maharaj (18 points and 7 rebounds) and David Humphries (18 points and 9 rebounds).
Warriors put on show at shooting gallery against Mavs
The Woodville Warriors have brought up the highest score of this NBL1 Mens season as they shot the lights out against the Eastern Mavericks at the Shooting Gallery 78-124. Five Warriors brought up double figures with import Julian Jacobs just missing a triple double with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 12 assists while Devon McGee returned to strong form with a near double double of 25 points and 9 rebounds. William Wise the third had a double double and despite a tough night dropped 28 points and 10 rebounds.
Daly Spear sharp for Sabres in ninth win
A late flurry from the West Adelaide Bearcats was not enough as the Sturt Sabres continued their undefeated run 87-92 at the Bearcat Cave. Joel Spear notched a huge double double of 22 points and 11 rebounds while Sam Daly narrowly missed his triple double with 26 points, 8 rebound and 6 assists. Bryan Michaels led the way for the Bearcats with 27 points along with Earnest Ross with his double double of 24 points and 15 rebounds.
