While there were a number of individual stand-outs, both games saw their winners come via committee.

Check out how both games went below.

WOMEN

Canberra Nationals (62) def by Norths Bears (65)

In a game that went down to the wire, Norths Bears hung on in this contest to edge out Canberra by three points.

The Bears looked in control towards the end of the game, but a surprise run from Canberra saw it come down to the final possession.

A total team effort was behind the Bears win, with four starters scoring at least 13 points, but it was Canberra’s Tonks who was the standout of the game - a 20 point-11 rebound double-double with five assists for good measure.

CANBERRA 62 (Tonks 20, Langhorn 14, Solway 8)

NORTHS 65 (Simons 15, Evans 14, Seebohm 13)

MEN

Norths Bears (68) def by Canberra Gunners (80)

While the Norths Bears had a strong first quarter, the remainder of this game belonged to the Gunners, as they put together a solid team victory.

Despite a 29-point outing for Nicholas Blair, Canberra’s big men were too good for Norths, with both Glenn Morison and Akech Aliir recording double-doubles, as well as blocking a combined seven shots.

NORTHS 68 (Blair 29, Jerome 10, Navarre 8)

CANBERRA 80 (Morison 20, Mayfield 15, Toohey and Aliir 11)
