Vanessa Panousis' day out

Fresh off the end of her WNBL season with the Sydney Flames, Vanessa Panousis had a performance to remember as she led the Sydney Comets to a dominant win over the Hills Hornets.

She scored 32 points at 65% from the field, along with seven rebounds, six assists and two steals to guide her side to two wins straight.

Instant classic in Grand Final replay

The stage was set for a big rematch between the Canberra Gunners and the Maitland Mustangs, the grand finallists from the inaugural NBL1 East season.

And it certainly didn't disappoint, with a brilliant affair that came right down to the wire.

Young prodigy makes her mark

Round 2 saw teenagers tear up the competition, none more so than 17-year-old (yes, you read that right) Isla Juffermans.

She's already represented Australia at the junior level, and if you watched this game, it's easy to see why. Juffermans had posted a double-double by half-time, and ended with a huge 19 point, 16 rebound stat line.
