NBL1 NATIONAL FINALS FIXTURE REVEALED

The Coles Express 2023 NBL1 National Finals are fast approaching, with teams across Australia gearing up to compete for the National Championship. 

The National Finals will take place on August 18-20 in Joondalup, Western Australia, where the best of the best will converge in what promises to be a weekend full of drama and entertainment. 

Last year’s National Champions, the men’s Rockingham Flames and women’s Warwick Senators, will have a chance to defend their crown against the conference winners from the women’s and men’s divisions In NBL1 North, East, South, West and Central.

Friday’s fixture was finalised by a random draw which determined which conferences will be playing each other.

The results from Friday will determine who plays on Saturday, and who will play on Sunday in the Men’s NBL1 National Final and the Women’s NBL1 National Final. 

“We’re excited to be bringing the NBL1 National Finals to Joondalup, WA and have been fortunate to draw some amazing matchups for night one. With the defending men’s champions taking on the powerhouse of NBL1 North, and the West women’s champions facing off against a super strong NBL1 South women’s conference,” NBL1 General Manager, Dean Anglin, said.

Each team will play two preliminary games in which they will generate ranking points across Friday and Saturday, before Championship Day on Sunday, where the top two ranked women’s and men’s teams will battle it out.

The random draw determined the fixture for Friday’s games, while Saturday will see the highest rank vs lowest possible rank, without teams playing twice. Only two games will be played on Sunday – the Men’s NBL1 National Final and the Women’s NBL1 National Final.

Teams will earn one point for every quarter won and three points for a win. No additional points are won if a game goes to overtime.

HBF Arena is home of the Joondalup Wolves in the NBL1 West, and will be the hosts of this year’s major league event. 

Multiple ticketing packages are available to purchase across the three days. 

 General admission kids’ tickets start from only $5, with the option of purchasing courtside seating to a specific game. Adult and Family packages are also available across the three days.

Courtside seating includes Hollywood seating and courtside boxes. Hollywood seating is located on the baseline and starts from just $30 per seat, per game. 

Courtside boxes consist of four dedicated courtside seats to your selected game, and general admission access to all other games on the same day. Courtside box packages include drinks during the game, and a commemorative cooler bag including snacks.
