It was a strong showing for our NBL1 stars, as the Seven Consulting Australian Opals took home gold in the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup Final on Sunday July 20, defeating Japan by 9 points.

The Australian Gems might not have come away with the gold at the FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup, falling to the USA by 12 points in the final, but their gutsy run to the Final was nothing short of impressive.
