NBL1 West Recap: Round 8 - Sunday May 29

Only two games of NBL1 West action today, with the Perry Lakes and Goldfields men and women going to battle, and ultimately coming out of the day with one win each.

WOMEN

Goldfields Giants (54) def by Perry Lakes Hawks (78) 

Perry Lakes completely dominated Goldfields in this game, beating them by 24 points. 

Emma Klasztorny led the Giants with 18 points, while Danielle McCray joined her as the only Goldfields players in double digits with 10. 

But Perry Lakes starters were on another level this game with three in double figures, led by Emma Clarke who had a 20-point 10-rebound double-double.

PERRY LAKES 78 (Clarke 20, Satie 15, Loomis 13)

MEN 

Perry Lakes Hawks (62) def by Goldfields Giants (74) 

In what was an otherwise fairly even contest, it was the third quarter where the Giants won this game, outsourcing the Hawks 25-6 out of the half. 

Adam Thoseby was huge for Perry Lakes, 24 points off the bench including 7-12 from three. 

But Goldfields were too much in the end, led by Jesse Ghee who also netted 24 points.
