Raiders sign guard Kara Tessari for NBL1 South 2021

Point guard Kara Tessari will be suiting up with the Raiders for the 2021 NBL1 South Season.

Tessari was a key player on Kilsyth's championship team in 2019, averaging 11 points and 3.4 assists, while coming in 8th in the league in three pointers made. In addition to NBL1, Kara has played multiple seasons with the Bendigo Spirit in the WNBL.

Head Coach Kennedy Kereama is excited by what Tessari will bring to Knox.

“Kara is a great addition to our program who brings WNBL and championship experience. She has exceptional work ethic and leadership qualities that would enhance any program.”

“From a basketball skills standpoint she will play an important role at point guard for us and will be given the reins to run this team at both ends of the court," continued Kereama. "With her unselfishness and pass first mentality, but also the ability to knock down shots from the perimeter and get on the rim, Kara will provide an excellent balance of offensive output for us. In addition to the above she is a pesky on ball defender who will create problems for her match up at the other end.”
