Shortt to lead Sturt women in 2022

The Sturt Sabres have announced that Tim Shortt will coach their women's side in 2022.

Shortt has been part of Sturt's men’s senior program for 11 years coaching Youth League, reserves and holding an assistant role with the NBL1 team.

He has worked with many experienced coaches including Sturt’s very own Paul Rigoni.

As a long-time Sturt member, Shortt knows what it takes to build a successful team culture on and off the floor to achieve success.

"I love this club, and I’m honoured and grateful for the opportunity to coach our NBL1 Women’s team," he said.

"I owe so much to all the fantastic coaches I’ve worked with.

"The women are a great group, and I’m excited to get on court and work together to build towards the 2022 season."
