The Dandenong Rangers further consolidated their top four spot in the NBL1 South with the dominant 96-71 road win over the Hobart Chargers with Georgia Booth, Lara Edmanson and Nyadiew Puoch combining for 73 points.
The Chargers were back home for their last game of the 2025 season at Hobart Netball and Sports Centre just looking to finish on a high but it was never going to be easy against a Rangers team who needed to keep winning to stay in the top four.
Even with Dandenong knocking down four early three-pointers and going on a 12-0 run in the first quarter, the Chargers had come to play and responded with 12 straight points themselves and by quarter-time, the Rangers were narrowly leading 28-25.
The Chargers even managed to briefly hit the front in the second quarter, but Dandenong responded and by half-time had worked on top 50-41.
The Rangers produced another 30 points in the third quarter and that saw the lead grow to 15 points which then got out to 25 points in the final term as they held Hobart to just six points with 3/17 shooting from the floor to close their season.
Dandenong secured the 25-point victory which keeps them in fourth position with a 15-6 record ahead of Saturday's clash with the Launceston Tornadoes.
