BASKETBALL VICTORIA AND NBL1 SOUTH STATEMENT

North West Tasmania v Hobart Men’s Game Result: Saturday 29th March

Basketball Victoria and NBL1 South in consultation with the North West Tasmania and Hobart have determined a No Result to be the outcome of Saturday night’s NBL1 South Men’s game, that was unable to be completed due to a power outage at the stadium.

Working closely with both clubs, the league has determined that a No Result be the fairest outcome given these circumstances. Both teams will compete in 21 games across the season, compared to 22 for the rest of the teams in the competition. In accordance with League Rules, the ladder will be determined by Win %.

The ladder has been updated to reflect the decision of a No Result, individual player statistics will remain as is.

Basketball Victoria thanks the North West Tasmania and Hobart for their efforts over the last 48 hours to reach this outcome.

With 1:24 remaining,  the 84-85 game between NW Tasmania and Hobart lost power at Harcourts Stadium.

To ensure the most fair and correct decision is made, the NBL1 South League Advisory Panel will meet to decide the outcome of the game.

No further comment will be made at this time.
