NBL1 West star Stephanie Gorman has been rewarded with her first WNBL contract by the Perth Lynx.

NBL1 West star Stephanie Gorman has been rewarded with her first WNBL contract by the Perth Lynx.
The 23-year-old guard is one the stars of the 10-0 Cockburn Cougars, averaging 16.4 points per game and 5.8 rebounds for the undefeated side.
After a productive 2022 season with the NBL1 South Ballarat Miners, Gorman made the move to the West Coast and will now be staying there.

“I am incredibly excited to be joining the Lynx, a team with such a great history and a really great fan base," Gorman said via the Lynx.
"The opportunity to play professional basketball has always been a dream of mine and I am grateful for the opportunity to play here under Ryan (Petrik).
"I’m looking forward to calling Perth home for the next season and getting into practice with a great group of teammates and coaches.”

Lynx head coach and reigning NBL1 National Championship coach Ryan Petrik said he is excited to bring on the rising star into the Lynx's system.
“We’re really excited to add Steph to the Lynx roster for 23/24. She’s someone who can guard multiple positions, play multiple positions, and shoot it from range," he said.
"Her form in NBL1 West has been outstanding, and we can’t wait to see her transition to becoming a WNBL athlete.”
