Tigers Add to Men’s Roster

The Melbourne Tigers have added two important athletes to their 2021 NBL1 South roster.

Anthony Karabatsos returns to the Tigers from a successful four years at Seton Hill College in Pennsylvania. A crafty left-handed guard, he led Seton Hill in assists in his final two years. Anthony was a Tiger junior in the VJBL. He is a natural floor leader and can also score quickly. Anthony will be sponsored by long term Tiger's sponsor Matrix Dental who like to support juniors who have progressed through the ranks.

The Tigers have also re-signed Van Merbin (pictured). The 5-man contested manfully as a back-up to Dane Pineau in 2019, often battling much taller opponents. Merbin shot at 46% from behind the arc and often stretched the defence. Expect to see his minutes increase in 2021.

The Tigers stage their first home game at MSAC on Saturday 17^th April.
