Tom Garrett re-signs for two years

Frankston Blues are delighted to confirm that Tom Garrett has committed to the club for the upcoming two seasons.

Having been a member of the Frankston Blues Senior Men's team since 2018, Garrett holds the distinction of being the most tenured player in the squad.

A product of the Frankston Blues' junior program, he has seamlessly transitioned into a key role as a Senior Blues player. In addition to his contributions on the court, he currently serves as the head coach for the club's undefeated Under 12.1 Boys team.

Tommy provided the following comment to the entire Frankston Blues community.

"Signing on with Frankston was a pretty easy decision for me. There were two main factors for me, on the court and off the court, and continually in both spheres I get offered immense opportunities and support."

"On the court Harmsy, Jacko, Duncan and Darce are top tier, our Hudl and handshake master Wazza allows games and schemes to be easily analysed, the teammates I get to train and play with are talented, knowledgeable, goal oriented and highly competitive which make for inevitable improvement."

"Off the court there are also multiple reasons/people that have made my decision almost automatic. In the front office there are multiple people I love coming in to see, the youth league squads contain some of the funnest people I’ve ever met, the fans are truly unreal often even bringing their support along to away games."

"The Junior Blues are just generally awesome and especially awesome in their support for us (particularly the 2013 born boys, shoutout 12.1’s)."

"Pauly Groat our pre game chef and so much more makes sessions at the club smooth, exciting and delicious. Jen, our strength and conditioning coach/training scoreboard manager is an incredible educator."

"On top of that there’s just a lot of great things about Frankston Blues. The home games are rockin, the pots and pans are electric, I love the old school grandstand and how it stacks people and their cheers on top of each-other."

"We get access to an elite gym at Core24 Health Clubs, and the great physio’s from Peninsula Sports Medicine Group."

With this signing, Tom joins the contracted core team players Daniel Trist, Igor Hadziomerovic, Lachlan Barker, Lucas Barker, Brad Newley.
