What is the NBL1?

The Mitsubishi Motors NBL1 will return for 2025! There will be over 1500 basketball games will be played nationwide this season, all kicking off on March 29th.

The NBL1 is the premier winter basketball league in Australia, with both women’s and men’s competitions played across five conferences in the NBL1 East (NSW, ACT), NBL1 North (Queensland), NBL1 South (VIC, TAS, SA),  NBL1 West (WA) and NBL1 Central (SA).

Being a state-level competition, you can get around your local club and see Olympians, professional players, rising stars and local legends competing each weekend. It will all culminate at the National Finals later this year, where the best women’s and men’s teams will battle it out to be crowned the National Champions.
