We are more than a month into all of the NBL1 conferences battling it out, and the best of the best are rising to the top.
Let's take a look at the NBL1 South teams who are still undefeated going into this weekend below:
Women's Bendigo Braves
The Bendigo Braves are hungry after last season's runners-up finish in the Grand Finals, they have retained their core and added WNBL star Amy Atwell to their squad.
The Braves have an elite defence, only allowing 66 points per game (while scoring 87 points per game) and are one of the best rebounding teams in the league -- led by double-double machine Megan McKay.
The Waverley Falcons are dominating this season, with a 6-0 record the Falcons are bringing grit and style to South-East Melbourne.
The Falcons are repping the rewards of the addition of NBL1 Central Finals MVP Maddi Utti. The 24-year-old forward is averaging 16.5 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists for the undefeated Falcons.
Bec Cole's Falcons have a serious challenge on Sunday, facing off against Keely Froling at home from 12:30 pm via NBL1.com.au or the NBL1 App here.
Men's Mount Gambier Pioneers
The Mount Gambier Pioneers were also the runners-up in the Grand Final last year, Nick Marshall has taken on another level after NBL23 averaging 23 points so far this season.
But the Pioneers' recruitment has been the story this season. Bringing Keilor's Jacob Lampkin and signing NBL1 East Champion William Mayfield, the Pioneers are set up with a talented core to carry them to the 6-0 record.
