The Bendigo Bank have re-signed exciting guard Javaan Mumtaz for the 2021 NBL1 South season.

Mumtaz, who was expected to debut for the Braves last year before the season was cancelled due to COVID, last played for the Shepparton Gators in the Big V Division 1 Men competition in 2019.

Mumtaz averaged 17.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He also shot the ball at 41.4 percent from the field and an incredible 40.7 percent from beyond the arc.

Since arriving from New Zealand in the middle of February the exciting guard has been training with the Braves each week during their preseason in the lead up to his first NBL1 season.

Spending some time in the United States, Mumtaz played for the University of Eastern New Mexico (NCAA D2) where he averaged 5.5 points and 1.4 rebounds.
