The Waverley Falcons have announced the re-signing of Malik Meunier for the NBL1 South 2026 season, marking his third consecutive campaign with the club.
Meunier was a standout across the 2025 season, earning the conferences’s Golden Hands award after averaging 16 points, 5 assists and 6 rebounds per game. His all-round production and ability to control tempo made him a central figure in Waverley’s backcourt.
A Victorian junior, Meunier brings experience from acrooss the country, having spent three seasons in NBL1 West prior to returning home. During that time, he claimed a NBL1 West 2023 Championship and First Team honours with the Geraldton Buccaneers.
The 2026 re-signing ensures continuity for the Falcons as they retain one of the competition’s most reliable guards and a proven playmaker heading into the new season.
The NBL1 South 2026 season tips off on Friday 27th March 2026. For all the latest updates, including player signings, coaching appointments and league news, make sure you’re following NBL1 South on Facebook and Instagram
