Hawks captain Bone returns to Ringwood

Ringwood Hawks captain Danni Bone has re-signed with the club for the 2021 NBL1 South season.

Bone’s leadership played a vital role in the Hawks’ rise to third on the ladder in 2019, while she also amassed 8.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. She says the lost 2020 campaign has fuelled motivations for 2021.

“None of us saw what 2020 was going to give us,” Bone said.

“The shock of losing a season now becomes excitement for a new NBL1 season in 2021.

“We had a great 2019 season, so the bar has been set pretty high. We are looking forward to a new challenge.”

Ringwood coach Tim Mottin is excited about utilising Bone’s versatility in the upcoming season.

“Danni is a great defender, can shoot from deep and plays with passion,” Mottin said.

“She is so versatile and can fill so many areas that she was always going to be a key component as we move on to 2021.”
