Hobart Chargers 66 def by Bendigo Braves 80

The Bendigo Braves have secured a road victory in its first game in a month against the Hobart Chargers.
Despite Maddie Garrick’s trio of three-pointers in the opening five minutes of the contest, Bendigo took control, taking the early lead which it would hold onto for the remainder of the game.
The Braves were led by Kate Oliver and Cassidy McLean to start the game, with the pair scoring 25 of the side’s 29 points.
They were joined in the scoring department by Abbie Wehrung, who scored 14 of her 22 points in the second term to help Bendigo to a 45-30 half-time lead.
While the Chargers were able to outscore Bendigo after the major break, the damage had already been done.
Ellie Collins pushed hard to help Hobart close the gap, however struggled shooting the ball, tallying only five points on nine attempts.
Garrick stayed aggressive throughout the game, finishing with a game high 30 points, but it would not be enough, resulting in the Chargers' 10th loss of the season.
Hobart will have a week off before its next game against the Nunawading Spectres, while Bendigo will look to continue its winning ways against Launceston tomorrow night.
