Bendigo Braves 73 def by Frankston Blues 94

The Frankston Blues have put together a dominant performance on the road to secure their first victory of the season.
Everything was clicking for the Blues early, jumping out to a 14-point first quarter lead and leaving the Bendigo Braves looking for answers.
They didn’t find any in the second term, as Frankston continued to pull away, entering half time with a 54-31 lead.
Lachlan Barker was on fire from downtown for the Blues, nailing seven of his 11 three-point attempts on the way to 26 points.
While the Braves put together a stronger performance in the second half, the damage was already done.
Ray Turner did his best to help Bendigo, tallying 13 points and nine boards, but it wasn’t enough as the Braves fell on their home floor.

Hobart Chargers 81 def Ballarat Miners 77

The Hobart Chargers have secured their first win of the season, taking down the Ballarat Miners in front of an excited home crowd.
A strong defensive first quarter laid the foundations for the Chargers, as Hobard held the Miners to just 12 points.
While their first quarter defense was impressive, it was performances on the other end of the court that helped Hobart to the victory across the rest of the game.
Keon Sapwell and Jonathan Miles were lights out for the Chargers behind the arch, combining for 11 three-pointers and 51 points overall (26 and 25 respectively).
The Miners refused to give up, with William Hickey continuing his hot run of form with 23 points, six rebounds and six assists.
After falling behind in the final term, Ballarat rallied, closing the deficit to as close as four points, but were ultimately unable to retake the lead.
