Kilsyth Cobras 63 def by NW Tasmania Thunder 98
The NW Tasmania Thunder have won its second game in as many days, securing its spot atop the NBL1 South ladder.
Facing a Kilsyth side fresh off a thrashing at the hands of Diamond Valley, the Thunder had to weather an early flurry from the Cabras before pulling ahead.
Deng Riak looked to set the tone early for the home side, throwing down a dunk for the game's opening basket, however NW Tasmania would not be intimidated.
The Thunder closed the first quarter on a 16-4 run and only looked to build upon its lead from then on.
Taran Armstrong once again led the way for NW Tasmania, scoring 22 points in 23 minutes, while bigman Paul Campbell registered an important double-double (15 points and 10 rebounds).
The Thunder ultimately outscored Kilsyth in every quarter, running away with the comfortable 35-point win.
The win is the sixth in a row for the ladder leaders.

Frankston Blues 115 def Albury Wodonga Bandits 80
The Frankston Blues have run away with a commanding home win, thrashing the Albury Wodonga Bandits.
The game was nearly put beyond reach in the first quarter, as the Blues pulled out to a 45-13 lead.
From that point on, Frankston simply put the game in cruise control, holding the Bandits at bay for the remaining three quarters.
Five Frankston players scored in double figures, with Dillon Stith leading the way with 21 points in just 19 minutes.
The huge win looks to be an important one, as the Blues battle with the NW Tasmania Thunder for the league’s top spot and percentage comes into play.

Waverley Falcons 100 def Bendigo Braves 89
The Waverley Falcons have gotten back on track following last week’s loss to Albury Wodonga, beating the Bendigo Braves at home on Sunday afternoon.
It was a tight contest across the first two quarters, with the lead changing hands nine times.
Geelong was able to pull ahead mid-way through the second term, leading by as many as 10 points thanks in part to a big game from Ray Turner.
Turner bullied his way inside for 24 points, however foul trouble limited his time on the court, ultimately fouling out after 26 minutes.
The Falcons were able to reduce the Braves’ lead to just three points going into halftime before quickly taking the lead in the third quarter.
Dexter Kernich-Drew was on fire for Waverley, scoring 28 points off the bench including eight made three-pointers.
This hot shooting spread to the rest of the team, as the Falcons outscored Bendigo 58-44 in the second half to secure the win in front of its home fans.

Sandringham Sabres 89 def by Hobart Chargers 113
The Hobart Chargers have bounced back from a disappointing loss last week to secure its largest victory of the season on the road against Sandringham.
After a brief flurry to open the game which saw both sides trade the lead, the Chargers took control, going on a 20-5 run to close the quarter.
The Sabres looked to its stars to get the side back into the game, with Kuany Kuany finishing the game with an impressive line of 25 points and 17 rebounds, however Hobart appeared to have all the answers for Sandringham’s attack.
The same could not be said for the Sabres, who could only watch as Chargers duo Keon Sapwell and Jonathon Mines combined for 58 points and 11 made three-pointers.
Hobart ultimately ran away with the game in the final term, putting the result beyond doubt by closing the contest with a 22-13 run.

Melbourne Tigers 69 def by Nunawading Spectres 105
The Nunawading Spectres have won its second game of the weekend, going on the road to beat Melbourne by 36 points.
The Spectres took the lead at the start of the game and never gave it up, forcing the Tigers to play from behind all contest.
Missing Peter Hooley and with some of Nunawading’s stars, like Dian Swetalla, struggling, the Spectres looked to the bench for an extra scoring punch, which the side found in the form of Trisan Devers.
Devers scored 26 points in just 20 minutes of action, connecting on five of his eight three-point attempts in the process.
Melbourne’s sharpshooter Felix von Hofe tried his best to match Devers, scoring 21 points and hitting four threes of his own, however the Tigers lack of size just couldn’t contend with Nunawading.
The Spectres pulled away in the second half, outscoring the Tigers 59-33 on its way to a clear victory.
The loss is the seventh in a row for Melbourne, which will go on the road to face Waverley next week.
