NBL1 South Select Team to Face Adelaide 36ers in Pre-Season Clash

The NBL1 South is set to showcase some of its brightest talent in a special pre-season exhibition game against the Adelaide 36ers, scheduled for Thursday 11 September at the Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre in Mount Gambier. Adelaide 36ers Announcement

In a major coup for our conference, an NBL1 South Select Team will take the floor against one of the NBL’s premier clubs, offering a unique opportunity for emerging and veteran NBL1 South athletes to test themselves against the next level.

The NBL1 South Select Team will be led by the 2025 NBL1 South Coach of the Year (to be announced at the NBL1 South Awards Night on August 15th), with support from one of the league’s rising Victorian coaching talents.

The Adelaide 36ers, meanwhile, enter the pre-season with major momentum, headlined by the blockbuster signing of three-time MVP Bryce Cotton and NBA veteran Montrezl Harrell. With an overhauled roster and bolstered coaching staff, Adelaide has its sights set firmly on championship contention in NBL26.

This landmark game promises high-level competition and a celebration of the talent pipeline connecting semi-professional and professional ranks. Fans in the Mount Gambier region will be treated to a rare opportunity to see NBL stars and NBL1 standouts share the court in what’s sure to be a memorable night of hoops at the Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre.

Exisiting NBL1 South players interested in being considered for selection are asked to complete the Expression of Interest form by Wednesday 28 August.

Tickets for the game will be available HERE from Monday, 11^th August from 5:30pm AEST.

The game will also be live streamed for those unable to make it to Mount Gambier.
