New Zealand local Waiaria Putaranui joins Bandits

New Zealand local Waiaria Putaranui has signed with the Albury Wodonga Bandits for the 2021 NBL1 South season. 

Putaranui, a 5'10 guard, most recently played with the Harbour Breeze and won the New Zealand NBL Women's championship with that team. 

She has spent the past two seasons with the Breeze and will undoubtedly be looking to use her experience to effect in the NBL1 South this season. 

Putaranui joins Emma Mahady, Casey Ardern, Brodie Theodore and Amelia Hassett on the Bandits' roster this season. 

They tip-off for 2021 against Ballarat on Saturday.
