Star forward Turner re-signs with Braves

Star power forward Ray Turner has inked pen to paper as the Bendigo Braves first signing for the NBL1 South 2021 Season.

Turner, who will head into his fourth season with the Braves, will aim to lead the team to the championship game after falling just short of the championship in the inaugural NBL1 competition in 2019.

Turner, who has NBL experience with the Sydney Kings in the 2018/19 NBL season, averaged 23.1 points, 12.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game in the 2019 NBL1 season as he led the Braves to the championship game.

Turner’s impressive 2019 season saw him earn NBL1 All-Star Five honours.

Bendigo’s season tips-off on Saturday April 17 against the Mount Gambier Pioneers.
