Tess Heal wins 10th Freshman of the Week award

Melbourne Tiger superstar and Santa Clara University women's basketball freshman Tess Heal has earned her fourth consecutive West Coast Conference Freshman of the Week award – her fifth in the last six weeks and 10th of the year.

With the Melbourne Tigers last season she averaged 21.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists and is exceeding that average with the Broncos. Heal had a magnificent week after putting up back-to-back 20-point performances on the road. In her past three games, she’s averaged 23.6 points, four rebounds and four assists for the Broncos.

Heal has been one of the most prolific scoring freshmen in the States this season. Her 455 total points are second-most by a freshman and rank tied for 31st overall through Sunday. 

Heal’s Santa Clara has a record of 14-13 and 5-9 within their West Coast Conference.
