The Hobart Chargers stampeded through the NBL1 South season as far and away the best team in the conference.

They were led by Harry Froling, who dominated the season with a monstrous 20 points and 11 rebounds average, the former NBL Rookie of the Year was the key factor in their 20-5 record. The Chargers will be without Froling, Finals MVP Sam McDaniels and Jarred Bairstow due to NBL commitments, but import star AJ Harris and big man Ole Angerstein will hold down the Chargers going into this NBL1 National Final.

In the Qualifying Final, Hobart beat the Sabres 73-53 as AJ Harris had 13 points and three assists to get his Chargers into the Preliminary Finals. Kilsyth played their way up to face Hobart in Tasmania, the Chargers were given a challenge with a 74-69 result, with a double-double from Angerstein and 21 points with nine rebounds from Harris sealed the win.

In the Grand Final, the Chargers beat the Mount Gambier Pioneers 78-62, off the back of McDaniels 32 points.

The Hobart Chargers have a lot of star power to fill but head coach Anthony Stewart will have a playbook ready to try take down the Gold Coast Rollers on Friday.
