Former WNBA player signs with Rockhampton

Former WNBA player for the Indiana Fever, Chelsey Perry, has signed with the NBL1 North champion Rockhampton Cyclones for the 2025 season. 

Perry last played in Italy for Campobasso, averaging 9.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. Perry is a talented shooter and will fit well into the Northern conference's high pace.

New head Chris Muggeridge said he's excited to bring in someone with this level of talent.

"I'm incredibly excited to welcome Chelsey Perry to the Cyclones. Chelsey brings elite-level experience, a strong work ethic and a versatile skill set," he said.

"She was a standout in college at UT Martin, where she dominated as an All-American and left a legacy as one of the best to ever play in that program. That success carried into her time in the WNBA, and she knows what it takes to win... She'll be a fantastic fit for our culture and a real presence in our community. I can't wait to see her in a Cyclones uniform" 

Perry added, " I am blessed to get the opportunity to play for the Rockhampton Cyclones," she said.

"This will be a fun season, and I cannot wait to meet the lovely community."

The NBL1 North season will start on May 1st.
