Virgo returns to Mackay

The Mackay Meteorettes have boosted their roster ahead of their clash against Rockhampton, with the signing of Courtney Virgo. 

The talented guard is returning for her fifth season with the Meteorettes and joins a star-studded roster that boasts the likes of Opal Cayla George, three-point shooting machine Heidi Freeburn and Queensland U20 star Paris Santcaterina. 

Virgo returns to Australia after playing five games over two seasons with NCAA Division 1 school, Newberry.

In 2019, she played 12 games for the Meteorettes. 

Mackay's NBL1 Women are 2-1 so far in NBL1 North and will look to improve their record away from home on Saturday night.
